Thriller techniques

False Plateau -

When the audience is lulled into a false sense of security. Its when the audience are made to think that something shocking is going to happen, however nothing really happens so then the audience feel at ease and calm. Until something unexpected happens and shocks the audience.

Bomb theory -

This is when the audience know more than the characters on screen, due to this it engages the audience to keep on watching it. A bomb theory came from " Alfred Hitchock"  believed that the audience should know more about the film that the characters, this will keep the audience more tempted to watch the film.
